MY PROFILE /

I am thrilled to share with you the exciting journey of VML Malaysia, where we have successfully merged four WPP agencies into one powerhouse team. Today, VML stands as the largest WPP creative agency, with a remarkable team of over 300 talented individuals.

My own journey began with a bachelor's degree in Marketing and Advertising from Auckland University of Technology. This foundation paved the way for diverse experiences and significant milestones in my career. Starting at McCann Erickson New Zealand and later joining their KL office in 2003, I had the privilege of establishing Momentum, their experiential and digital arm in Malaysia. This initial step was just the beginning of a series of pivotal roles that followed.

In less than six years after returning to Malaysia, I ascended to the position of General Manager at G2 Worldwide, where I honed my leadership skills and strategic acumen, driving the growth of Brand Activation and Digital Transformation. In 2013, I took on the role of COO at Geometry Global, co-managing the merger of G2 and Ogilvy Action. This merger created the largest full-service integrated creative agency in Malaysia, with a formidable team of 250 employees. The following year, I transitioned to the role of CEO at Geometry Malaysia, a position that allowed me to further steer the agency towards growth, fame and innovation.

Fast forward to 2019, I found myself at the helm of another significant merger, this time between VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson in Malaysia, forming VMLY&R. This merger established us as the largest creative WPP agency in the country, a testament to our collective leadership and vision. In 2022, I was tasked with overseeing Indonesia as one cluster for VMLY&R. And now, in 2024, WPP has merged VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson, simplifying the agency name to VML.

This dedication has led to many firsts, including Cannes, Malaysia & APAC Effie Gold and Best in the Country Dragon of Asia Awards for prestigious clients such as P&G, Unilever, Tiger Beer, Carlsberg, Magnum, CIMB, Nestle and Shell.

As a member of Forrester CX and an alumnus of AUT, IACT, Hyper Island, WPP Maestro, Arbinger Institute, and BFM Business School, I believe in the importance of continuous learning and evolution, both as a learner and a leader. VML Malaysia is also a pivotal regional hub for high-profile clients such as British American Tobacco Asia, Nestlé ASEAN, The Coca-Cola Company ASEAN & AUNZ.
